As purpose of its Human Resource Development initiatives, NDDC is embarking on its 2017 Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Nigerians from the Niger Delta region.
The destination of this scholarship system is to equip Niger Deltans (i.e. Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross river, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, Rivers) alongside relevant preparation together with skills for effective participation inward the Local Content programme of the electrical flow Administration too equally compete globally inward diverse professional person fields.
The scholarship system is for suitably qualified applicants alongside relevant Bachelors and/or Masters degrees from recognized universities together with higher institutions.

- First Degree alongside minimum of 2d Class Lower Division for those wishing to undertake a master’s Degree programme together with a adept Master’s Degree for PhD candidates from a recognized University.
- Applicants must direct keep gained Admission into a Post Graduate Programme inward whatsoever of the under-listed disciplines inward a unusual University.
- Applicants who direct keep already enrolled inward overseas' universities are NOT eligible to apply.
- Guarantor's written consent of adept bear of the applicant from whatsoever of the next persons from the applicant’s community/clan:
- Member of National Assembly
- Chairman of the LGA.
- First cast traditional ruler.
- High Court Judge
